According to the information obtained, neighbors who had not heard from the foreign national Züleyha E. reported the situation to the landlord. The landlord, who entered the apartment with the help of a locksmith, found the young woman motionless in the bedroom. Health teams who arrived at the scene determined that Züleyha E. had lost her life. After the work of the prosecutor's office and crime scene investigation teams, the body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institution morgue for autopsy.

While the investigation into the incident continues, Ahmet Eskimiş, who lives in the same building, claimed that the young woman was occasionally subjected to violence. Eskimiş said:
"There were many visitors coming and going. Generally, unfamiliar people would come. We warned them a few times due to the noise. Some neighbors had her number, and her last seen on the messaging app was Wednesday. She usually lived alone, but her friends frequently came and went. As far as I know, she had a boyfriend who was not a Turkish citizen. We heard that he had been abusive several times before. I don't know exactly, but he was constantly showing violence."
