Following the decline in Brent crude oil, a reduction of 1.35 TL in the price of diesel per liter is expected starting from Saturday. If the reduction occurs, it is anticipated that the price of diesel will drop to 53.23 TL in Istanbul, 54.23 TL in Ankara, and 54.56 TL in Izmir.
The decline in Brent crude oil has raised expectations for a reduction in diesel prices. Following the U.S. operation against Venezuela, the downward movement of oil prices has also led to price updates in the fuel market.
EXPECTATION OF 1.35 TL DISCOUNT ON DIESEL
According to information from industry sources, a discount of 1.35 TL on the liter price of diesel is expected to take effect starting Saturday. If the discount is implemented, it is anticipated that prices in metropolitan areas will also be reshaped.

With the expected discount, the liter price of diesel is anticipated to drop to 53.23 TL in Istanbul, 54.23 TL in Ankara, and 54.56 TL in Izmir.
EXPECTATIONS OF OIL SUPPLY ALSO AFFECT PRICES
On the other hand, experts indicate that the increasing shift towards electric vehicles and the more widespread use of renewable energy in industry may weaken oil demand over time, which could strengthen expectations of excess supply and put pressure on prices.
