While the United States' airstrikes on the Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan nuclear facilities in Iran have caused concern around the world, there has also been dissent from within the U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders compared this move to the invasion of Iraq, stating, "We cannot allow history to repeat itself." Republican House member Marjorie Taylor Greene, who is from the same party as Trump, also rebelled, saying, "Enough is enough."

U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders evaluated the United States' attack on three nuclear facilities in Iran during a speech at an event he attended in Texas.

Sanders pointed out the similarity between the language used by U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the attacks and the expressions used by Netanyahu and former U.S. President George W. Bush before the invasion of Iraq, stating, "George Bush said, 'Saddam (Hussein) regime wants a nuclear bomb' and defended an attack."

Sanders stated, "(At that time) No weapons of mass destruction were found. That war was built on lies and cost the lives of 4,500 young Americans, 32,000 injured, and trillions of dollars."

Stating that "the American people are being lied to again today," Sanders emphasized that the U.S. should focus on its domestic issues and should not enter into a war against Iran.

HE RECEIVED REACTIONS EVEN FROM HIS OWN PARTY: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

On the other hand, Republican House member Marjorie Taylor Greene criticized the attacks on Iran in a statement made on her X social media account.

Greene highlighted the importance of the issues of irregular immigrants and fentanyl, stating that the U.S. "does not use 'shelter-seeking bombs' in the fight against cartels."

Using the expression, "I have been watching my country go to war on foreign soil for foreign policy interests since I can remember," Greene noted that these wars have cost trillions of dollars and lives.

Greene stated that she "supports Israel's right to defend itself," adding, "I do not want to participate in or fund the wars of nuclear-armed Israel."

Pointing out the security alerts in the country following the attack on the nuclear facilities in Iran, Greene expressed her wish for the demands for America to go to war to end, saying, "Enough is enough."

THE U.S. STRUCK 3 IRANIAN FACILITIES

U.S. President Donald Trump announced yesterday that they conducted airstrikes on the Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan nuclear facilities in Iran, stating that these key points were "completely destroyed."
