The first statement regarding the attacks by the U.S. and Israel came from Russia, one of Iran's most important allies. Russian President Vladimir Putin, who received Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, said, "The attacks on Iran are an unprovoked aggression with no justification."

After Israel struck Iran on June 13, while mutual attacks continued, the United States also joined the war by targeting three nuclear facilities in Iran. As reactions to this attack by the U.S. continue, Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

PUTIN: UNJUSTIFIED AGGRESSION

Vladimir Putin sent a message to the U.S. and Israel, stating, "Attacks on Iran are an unjustified aggression without any justification."

HAMANEY HAD REQUESTED SUPPORT

As Iran and Israel continued mutual attacks for 11 days, the U.S. joining the war on the night of June 22 further escalated tensions. The attacks carried out by U.S. B-2 bombers on Iran's Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan Nuclear Facilities have outraged the Tehran administration. Following the developments that occurred yesterday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi traveled from Istanbul, where he was attending the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Foreign Ministers Meeting, to Russia. According to a report by the British news agency Reuters, based on a senior Iranian source, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei sent a letter through Araghchi, who is set to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin today. In the letter, Iran's Supreme Leader Khamenei requested Russia's support.

Iranian sources stated that they are not satisfied with Russia's support so far and have asked Moscow to provide more assistance to Tehran against Israel and the U.S. The sources did not provide details on the exact type of assistance requested by Iran's Supreme Leader.
