Fenerbahçe President and owner of S Sport, Sadettin Saran, appeared before the judge in a case where he is accused of "illegal betting advertisement." During the hearing held at the Istanbul Courthouse, Saran's monthly income drew attention.

SECOND HEARING IN THE ILLEGAL BETTING CASE

Sadettin Saran appeared before the judge for the second time in the case opened as part of the illegal betting investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Saran had previously given his statement on December 26, 2024, at the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan.

Speaking in court, Sadettin Saran made statements regarding his income situation and business life. Saran stated, "My monthly income is 5 million TL. I am the child of a civil servant, and I have built the company with my own efforts over 30 years. We do not encourage illegal betting."

SUBJECT OF THE CASE AND ACCUSATION

As part of the investigation into promoting illegal betting conducted in Istanbul, an indictment was prepared against Sadettin Saran and some suspects in 2024. In the indictment prepared by the Cyber Crimes Investigation Bureau of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Saran was listed as a "suspect." The accusation stated that illegal betting advertisements were made during football matches published on the S Sport website.

REQUESTED PENALTY

The prosecution requested a prison sentence of 1 to 3 years and a judicial fine of up to 3,000 days against Sadettin Saran. The indictment was sent to the criminal court for evaluation.
