The lawyer of 35-year-old actress Ece İrtem, who deeply saddened the art world by passing away at a young age, issued an official statement regarding the security camera footage captured before her death. In the statement, made to prevent misinformation, it was noted that the actress's gait when entering her home was not due to alcohol or drugs, but rather a stomach illness she contracted during a trip to Thailand. Meanwhile, the young actress's funeral was laid to rest in her hometown of Kuşadası, Aydın.
New developments are occurring regarding the sudden death of Ece İrtem, who passed away at the age of 35 on June 15, 2026, after falling ill at her home in Istanbul. Following the release to the press of security camera footage from her final moments before death and various speculations made about her gait, the İrtem family's lawyer, Uğur Gökkoyun, issued a written statement.
"DID NOT ATTEND THE CELEBRATION DUE TO STOMACH PAIN"
Lawyer Gökkoyun, informing the public to prevent information pollution, recounted the events of that night based on mother Nuriye İrtem's accounts with these words:
"When asked about this matter, the mother stated that although June 15, 2026, was Ece İrtem's birthday, she did not want to go to the celebration her friends had planned due to stomach pain and weakness; they took a short walk along the Moda seaside, then sat at a venue near the shore and drank two sodas."
REASON FOR HER GAIT AT THE ENTRANCE BECAME CLEAR
Putting an end to the debates about her gait in the footage, Gökkoyun reminded that İrtem had traveled to Thailand shortly before her death and continued his statement as follows:
"She stated that when Ece İrtem wanted to go home due to stomach discomfort, they left after a while and returned to their home 100 meters away from the venue, and she had the receipt for the two sodas. She explained that her gait at the moment of entering the house was due to stomach pain, she didn't want to go to the doctor, saying she had caught a chill in her stomach during her trip to Thailand a few days before the incident, and she wanted to go to bed immediately, expressing that rest would do her good."
HER BODY BROUGHT TO KUŞADASI
In the shadow of these statements that made headlines, the young actress, who passed away right after her birthday, is being laid to rest in her hometown of Aydın. Ece İrtem's body, retrieved yesterday from the Forensic Medicine Institution by her father Vural İrtem, was brought to Kuşadası, taken from in front of the Kervansaray, and placed on the funeral bier at Hanım Mosque.

Following the funeral prayer to be held after the noon prayer at Kuşadası Hanım Mosque, the body of the successful 35-year-old actress Ece İrtem will be laid to rest amid tears at Kuşadası Yeniköy Cemetery.
