HMD Global announced that it will no longer produce Nokia smartphones. This situation signifies the end of the brand, which was the sole manufacturer, in the phone market. Nokia's latest models have been completely separated from the phones produced under HMD's own brand and moved to a special web page.

EFFORTS TO MAKE A COMEBACK WERE NOT ENOUGH

In 2017, the brand made a significant comeback by introducing the Nokia 6, re-establishing its place in the tech world. However, at the beginning of 2024, HMD changed the name of the Nokia Mobile Twitter account and renewed its visual identity, signaling its farewell to the smartphone business. Finally, this journey concluded with the limited edition Nokia XR21 Limited Edition.

STILL COMPETITIVE IN FEATURE PHONES

However, the Nokia brand is not completely lost. In the feature phone segment, the brand will still find life, while it has withdrawn from the smartphone market. Now, smartphone production will continue under HMD Global's own brand.
