In Aksaray, a citizen passing by a field road in the morning alerted authorities, uncovering a horrific tragedy. After spotting a vehicle inside a water-filled drainage pit in the central district of Sağlık, emergency services were dispatched. Diver teams arrived and submerged to intervene in the completely water-logged car, where they recovered the lifeless bodies of two individuals, including one woman.
In Aksaray, the lifeless bodies of two people, one woman, were recovered from a car found submerged in a water-filled drainage pit on a field road.
The incident occurred in the Sağlık town, central Aksaray. According to information obtained, early in the morning, a citizen passing by the field road noticed a car inside a water-filled drainage pit. Upon reporting the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center, gendarmerie, health, and diver teams were dispatched to the area.
DIVERS RECOVERED FROM WATER: IDENTITIES REVEALED
Gendarmerie teams arriving at the scene took extensive security measures around the area, while diver teams intervened in the vehicle with license plate 68 AGV 799, which was completely submerged in water. The lifeless bodies recovered from the car were identified through identity checks as belonging to Zarife İlban (25) and Kadir Baltacı (32).
INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED
The bodies of the unfortunate individuals were taken to the morgue of Aksaray Education and Research Hospital for autopsies after on-site examinations. While it has not yet been determined how the car fell into the pit, the Aksaray Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has initiated a comprehensive investigation into the incident.
