The world's most popular messaging app, WhatsApp, will be discontinued on many phones as of November 15. A list of Android and iOS devices that will no longer receive update support has been released, and among these phone models are the iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy S7.
The popular messaging application WhatsApp will end update support for many smartphones produced in 2016 and earlier starting tomorrow. These devices will eventually lose complete access to the application.
FAREWELL TO OLD DEVICES FROM WHATSAPP
The world's most widely used online messaging platform, WhatsApp, will stop providing update support for many old model smartphones starting tomorrow. The company cited that the new features added to the application cause performance issues on devices with insufficient hardware.
PHONES RELEASED IN 2016 WILL BE EXCLUDED
With WhatsApp's latest update, smartphones released in 2016 will be excluded from support. Initially, these devices will only be unable to receive updates; however, after a certain period, the application will become completely inaccessible due to the inability to meet the update requirement.
