Lyon's owner John Textor recently clarified that his comments about "clubs from Turkey contacting me with insulting offers for my best players because they think we are desperate" were not directed at Galatasaray, and he apologized to the yellow-reds. Textor stated that he was referring to another Turkish club.

French Ligue 1 team Lyon has reported losses for the last 6 seasons and is facing the risk of relegation with a debt of 508 million euros. The owner of the French club, John Textor, stated that he did not target the Galatasaray community regarding his recent statements, in which he used harsh expressions about Turkish teams.

APOLOGIZED TO GALATASARAY

According to Habertürk's news; Textor, who is in negotiations with Galatasaray regarding the transfer of Georges Mikautadze, apologized to the yellow-red club. The president of Lyon personally called Galatasaray President Dursun Aydın Özbek and Vice Presidents of Sportif AŞ, İbrahim Hatipoğlu. Textor expressed that the statements in question did not target the yellow-red club in any way.

REFERRED TO ANOTHER TEAM FROM TURKEY

Textor, who stated that he was referring to another club from Turkey, also conveyed his apologies for the misunderstanding. Textor, who is also at the table with Galatasaray for the termination of Wilfried Zaha's loan contract, communicated directly to eliminate any possible misunderstanding. It is speculated that Textor was referring to Beşiktaş.

WHAT DID HE SAY?

John Textor recently said, "I read everywhere that all players are for sale. There are clubs contacting me with insulting offers for my best players from Turkey because they think we are desperate. We told them to get lost. All of this is to say that the situation is not like that. Not all of my team is for sale."
