The mackerel has been taken off the board: It's flying off the shelves at 100 TL per kilo.

The mackerel has ceded its place on the stalls to the anchovy. With the drop in air temperature, the anchovy, which has seen an abundance, has risen to become the most preferred product at fish stalls.

Citizens, who say they miss the anchovy priced between 80 and 100 TL, expressed their satisfaction with the size of the fish.

Fish seller Onurcan Köse stated, "We sold mackerel for 3 months. The mackerel season is over. Now it's anchovy time. The anchovy is getting larger day by day. Its price has dropped to 100 TL. The anchovies are suitable for grilling. They are exactly the quality that citizens are looking for. Right now, anchovy is the most preferred fish," he said.

1 KILO FEEDS A FAMILY OF 4

Citizens stated that 1 kilo of anchovy feeds a family of 4, and they find its price and size reasonable.
