The master actor Murat Soydan, whose real name is Rüçhan Tercan, has passed away. The news of the death of the master actor, who was involved in numerous projects, was announced by his daughter. Soydaş, who announced the sad news on his social media account, used the expression "We lost my dear father. May he rest in peace." WHO IS MURAT SOYDAN?

Turkish cinema and TV series actor Murat Soydan was born on October 2, 1940, in the town of Lüleburgaz in Kırklareli, where his father was working as a civil servant. The actor, whose real name is Rüçhan Tercan, attended primary and secondary school in Lüleburgaz and high school in Edirne. Soydan came to Istanbul for university and while studying at the Academy of Economic Sciences, he also graduated from the Turkish Music Department of Istanbul Municipality Conservatory. At the same time, during his university education, he worked as a civil servant at Tekel. After completing his military service as a reserve officer, he entered the cinema by winning the competition opened by the magazine Perde together with Tanju Korel in 1966.

HE STARTED HIS CINEMA CAREER WITH "KOLSUZ KAHRAMAN"

He started his cinema career with the film "Kolsuz Kahraman" directed by Nejat Saydam in 1966. The film also starred Cüneyt Arkın, Fatma Girik, and Suzan Avcı. Murat Soydan, one of the leading actors of the 1970s, shared the lead role with Türkan Şoray and Hülya Koçyiğit in many films.

Murat Soydan, who appeared in 221 films, served as the president of the Cinema Actors Association for a period of time. In 1972, he won the Best Actor Award at the 9th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival for his role in the film "Zulüm". Murat Soydan has a child from his first marriage. He married Uğur Gül after his second marriage. He has two children named Ali and Mehveş.
