Since the beginning of the week, the "false spring" weather, which has particularly shown its effects in the western regions of the country, is coming to an end. It is predicted that temperatures in the western regions will drop by 10 degrees over the weekend, while frost and freezing events are expected in the eastern regions. TEMPERATURES WILL DROP BY 10 DEGREESAccording to the latest forecasts from the General Directorate of Meteorology, it is expected that the air temperatures in Istanbul, which reached levels of 16-17 degrees in the middle of the week, will drop by approximately 10 degrees by the weekend. The cooling, which will start from Saturday evening, will be felt more on Sunday. It is predicted that heavy rainfall will be effective throughout the weekend. On the other hand, no snowfall is expected in the Marmara Region this week. In the inner and eastern parts of the country, frost and freezing, along with fog and occasional mist, are expected. The meteorology department warned citizens about the avalanche risk in the high areas of the inner parts of the Eastern Black Sea and the steep slopes of Eastern Anatolia.
