The heavy rain and cool weather that affected many parts of the country over the weekend are giving way to a new heatwave. Temperatures will reach 40 degrees Celsius in the Southeast. In the Aegean and Mediterranean regions, temperatures will be above seasonal norms. Thunderstorms will be effective in some parts of the country. The Turkish State Meteorological Service has issued yellow-coded warnings for 5 provinces.
The General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM) has published its weekly weather forecast map. Accordingly, thunderstorms and showers will be effective in a large part of the country. Despite the rainy weather, temperatures will continue to rise in some regions.

According to the report; the southern, central, and eastern parts are expected to be partly to very cloudy, with showers and thunderstorms in the Central and Eastern Mediterranean, the southern and eastern parts of Central Anatolia, the Central Black Sea coast, the Eastern Black Sea, the northern part of Eastern Anatolia, and the inner parts of Muğla, Afyonkarahisar, and Tokat.

AKOM POINTS TO THURSDAY
In a statement from AKOM, it was estimated that the weather would be mostly sunny, while attention was drawn to Thursday.
AKOM's statement included the following expressions:
"Throughout the week (except Thursday), no precipitation is expected, and mostly sunny skies are predicted. While intermittent strong northeasterly winds (10-40 km/h) continue to provide coolness, temperatures are forecast to range between 29-32 degrees Celsius over the next week."
WHAT WILL BE THE HIGHEST TEMPERATURE IN ISTANBUL?
After a cool and rainy weekend, sweltering temperatures are returning with increasing intensity.
However, precipitation will continue in the Eastern Anatolia region. In Istanbul, the highest temperature is estimated to be 31 degrees Celsius.
At the beginning of the week, precipitation starting locally in the eastern parts of the country and the inner zones of the Mediterranean is expected to expand its influence westward from mid-week. Particularly on Thursday and Friday, with a noticeable drop in temperatures across the Marmara Region, thunderstorms and showers are expected to be effective in northern and western provinces, especially Istanbul. It was also stated that precipitation will intensify along the Black Sea coast.
