The Minister of Treasury and Finance, Mehmet Şimşek, met with more than 25 institutions with a total asset size exceeding 4 trillion dollars at an investor meeting held in New York. During the meeting, Şimşek discussed with portfolio investors and conducted evaluations with the executives of credit rating agencies.
The Minister of Treasury and Finance, Mehmet Şimşek, met with representatives from more than 25 different organizations with a total asset size exceeding 4 trillion dollars at an investor meeting held in New York. Şimşek completed his New York engagements during his visit to the U.S. for the G20, IMF, and World Bank Spring meetings. At the large-scale investor meeting organized by the Turkey-U.S. Business Council and Citi Group, Şimşek met with a group primarily composed of portfolio investors.
SPOKE TO A TEAM WORTH 4 TRILLION DOLLARS
The meeting, which attracted great interest from investors, was attended by senior representatives from more than 25 different organizations with a total asset size exceeding 4 trillion dollars. Şimşek also held separate evaluation meetings with senior executives from the world's three leading credit rating agencies. Şimşek, who also met with Citi Group Chairman John Dugan, was accompanied by Central Bank Governor Fatih Karahan during his New York engagements. After New York, Şimşek will continue his U.S. engagements today in Washington.
