The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reacted to a statement targeting MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli on behalf of the Barzani Headquarters Spokesperson. Stating that the statement is unacceptable, the ministry said, "An explanation has been requested from the KDP leadership regarding this disrespectful and provocative statement containing unfounded claims."
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reacted to the statements targeting the Chairman of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), Devlet Bahçeli, made on behalf of the Barzani Headquarters Spokesperson.
"UNACCEPTABLE, EXPLANATION REQUESTED"
In the statement, it was emphasized that the expressions targeting Bahçeli are unacceptable; "An explanation has been requested from the KDP leadership regarding this disrespectful and provocative statement containing unfounded claims," it was stated.
In a written statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was noted, "The statement published today on behalf of the Barzani Headquarters Spokesperson, targeting the Chairman of the Nationalist Movement Party, Mr. Devlet Bahçeli, is unacceptable in terms of content and style. An explanation has been requested from the KDP leadership regarding this disrespectful and provocative statement containing unfounded claims, and it has been demanded that necessary actions be taken immediately against those responsible."
WHAT HAD HAPPENED?
MHP leader Bahçeli had reacted to the images of Barzani's bodyguards during his visit to Şırnak, stating, "The presence of foreign uniformed soldiers carrying long-barreled weapons in our homeland is, in a word, a disgrace."
Following Bahçeli's statements, the Barzani Headquarters Spokesperson had targeted Bahçeli.
