The Ministry of Trade has banned the sale of a stationery product that poses a danger to children. The "Popsicle Highlighter" set of 6 highlighters shaped like ice cream, branded "Mao Mao Yu," is being recalled from shelves due to chemical and health risks, as well as the potential to cause injuries.
The Ministry of Trade announced new products that pose health risks to the public through the "Unsafe Product Information System (GÜBİS)." The sale of a stationery product added to the list has been banned, and it has been decided to withdraw it from the market.
WITHDRAWN FROM SHELVES
The "Popsicle Highlighter" set of 6 fluorescent markers, branded "Mao Mao Yu" and of Chinese origin, has been banned from the market and a withdrawal decision has been made due to its chemical and health risks and the potential for causing injuries. The fluorescent marker was found to be unsafe due to ecological tests showing results concerning phthalates.
