CAUGHT IN THE CURRENT, DISAPPEARED
According to the information obtained, 17-year-old Batu Yetiş Kerem K. jumped into the Berdan River for an undetermined reason after arriving at the waterfall area. After a while, the young man was caught in the current and disappeared. Following the incident, a large number of teams were dispatched to the area, and search and rescue operations were initiated by the Mersin Metropolitan Municipality rescue teams and the police. It was reported that operations were ongoing in the area where the flow was high and the current was strong.

Meanwhile, mobile phone footage of the last moments of the missing young man after he jumped into the water has emerged. The footage shows the young man being caught in the current, holding onto the branches of a tree in the water to avoid being swept away, but after a while, he lost his strength and could not resist the current, disappearing from sight. It was learned that teams continued their search and rescue operations in the area.
