The funeral of famous actress Ece İrtem, who succumbed to a heart condition a day after her birthday, was held in Kuşadası. At the ceremony attended by notable figures like Gürkan Uygun, her mother Huriye İrtem, grieving the loss of a child at a young age, moved everyone to tears with her cries.
Famous actress Ece İrtem, who was etched into memories with her character "Işıl" in the series "Cranberry Sherbet" and passed away from a sudden heart attack at home just one day after her 35th birthday, was bid farewell on her final journey amidst tears today.
A deep silence and overwhelming sorrow dominated the funeral ceremony held at Hanım Mosque in the Kuşadası district of Aydın following the noon prayer. The funeral was attended by the young actress's mother Huriye İrtem, father Vural İrtem, family relatives, famous TV series and film actor Gürkan Uygun, the young actress's friends, and many citizens.
HER MOTHER STRUGGLED TO STAND
At the ceremony in Kuşadası Hanım Mosque, the grieving mother Huriye İrtem was devastated by the pain of losing her child and could only stand with the support of two people.
"SHE WAS SLEEPING ON HER BIRTHDAY"
As relatives tried to console her, the mother, whose tears flowed like a flood, cried out, "She was just sleeping... She was sleeping on her birthday..."
These lamentations from the mother following her daughter deeply touched the hearts of everyone at the ceremony.
After the funeral prayer, Ece İrtem's body, carried on shoulders accompanied by prayers, was laid to rest at Kuşadası Yeniköy Cemetery amidst the tears of her loved ones.
