Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi announced that 29,353 personnel have been assigned to new duty stations within the scope of the 2026 general assignments of the Gendarmerie General Command.
Minister of Interior Mustafa Çiftçi announced that within the scope of the 2026 general assignments of the Gendarmerie General Command, 29,353 personnel, including 1,722 officers, 7,933 non-commissioned officers, 1,663 specialist gendarmes, and 18,035 specialist sergeants, have been assigned to their new duty stations.
Çiftçi made a post on his social media account regarding the 2026 general assignments of the Gendarmerie General Command.
Minister Çiftçi stated, "May the shift change of our heroic Gendarmerie Organization, which has been serving in every corner of our homeland for 187 years with the strength it receives from our nation, be auspicious. Within the scope of the 2026 general assignments of the Gendarmerie General Command, assignments of 29,353 personnel, including 1,722 officers, 7,933 non-commissioned officers, 1,663 specialist gendarmes, and 18,035 specialist sergeants, to their new duty stations have been carried out."
Çiftçi wished for the continued outstanding success of gendarmerie personnel in all areas, from public order to traffic safety, from combating drugs and terrorism to fighting migrant smugglers.
