Turkey is struggling with forest fires. Today, fires broke out in four different locations across the country. Fires occurred in the Menderes district of Izmir, the Orhangazi district of Bursa, the Manavgat district of Antalya, and the Gelibolu district of Çanakkale. While the flames in Izmir, Bursa, and Antalya have been brought under control, teams have started to intervene in the fire in Çanakkale.

Turkey has been battling forest fires for months. With the extreme heat in June, the number of forest fires has been increasing daily.
FLAMES RISE FROM 4 CITIES
Today, fires broke out in four locations across the country. The forest fire in the Menderes district of İzmir rapidly grew due to the influence of the wind.
In a statement made on the social media account of the General Directorate of Forestry regarding the fire, which was brought under control by the teams' intervention, it was stated, "We have brought the fire that started in a non-forest area in İzmir Menderes under control."
FOREST FIRE IN BURSA ORHANGAZI
The rural Gedelek neighborhood of Orhangazi, which experienced a forest fire last week, was again engulfed in flames today. Around 5:00 PM, smoke reappeared in the scrubland located in the upper parts of the neighborhood.
Forest management teams, responding to the report, were supported by fire brigade and farmer tankers. Two helicopters also intervened from the air. After approximately one hour of work, the forest fire in Gedelek was brought under control.
FLAMES RISE FROM MANAVGAT
One of the locations of the fires was the Manavgat district of Antalya. In the area known as Seki, located between the neighborhoods of Gençler and Namaras, a fire broke out in the forested area, which was intervened by 4 helicopters, water tankers from the Manavgat, Akseki, and Gündoğmuş Forest Management Directorates, and fire teams from the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality's Manavgat, Akseki, and Gündoğmuş units. The fire was brought under control as a result of the teams' intervention.
INTERVENTION BEGINS IN ÇANAKKALE
A fire also broke out in the Gelibolu district of Çanakkale. It started around 3:00 PM in the village of Ilgardere for reasons yet unknown. The flames grew due to the influence of the wind. Following the report, teams from the Regional Directorate of Forestry were dispatched to the area.
