Forbes Magazine, which shares the world's richest people, has published its billionaire list for this year. The list includes 28 dollar billionaires from Turkey, and Ibrahim Erdemoğlu, who topped the list last year, was only able to enter the top 10 this year from the last position after losing more than half of his wealth within a year. At the top of the list is Murat Ülker, while members of the Koç family also made a significant impact on the list.

Forbes Magazine, which shares the wealthiest people in the world and Turkey, announced its updated list for the year 2024, while the changes in the fortunes of Turkish billionaires became the agenda.

LOST MORE THAN HALF OF HIS FORTUNE IN A YEAR

In the list shared in 2023, İbrahim Erdemoğlu, Chairman of Erdemoğlu Holding, ranked first with a net worth of $5.3 billion, but he fell to 10th place on the list of Turkey's richest businesspeople after losing more than half of his wealth in just one year.

The decline in Erdemoğlu's fortune is attributed to the drop in SASA polyester shares, which reached 10 lira at the beginning of 2023 and fell to 4 lira. In the list shared for 2024, Murat Ülker, Chairman of Yıldız Holding, took the first place.

İPEK KIRAÇ CLAIMED THE TITLE OF "RICHEST WOMAN"
