The leader of the CHP, Özgür Özel, shared a condolence message for Ferdi Zeyrek, the Mayor of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality, who was severely injured by an electric shock and passed away in the hospital where he was being treated. Özel stated, "I have lost a friend, half of my mind and heart. There is a fire inside me that I don't know how to extinguish. My heart is burning. May we all find strength in this difficult time."
On the evening of June 6, Friday, 48-year-old Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ferdi Zeyrek, who was hospitalized after his heart stopped due to an electric shock, passed away in the hospital where he was receiving treatment.

Following Zeyrek's passing, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel shared a condolence message on his social media account.
"I LOST A FRIEND, HALF OF MY MIND AND HEART"
In his post, Bahçeli stated: "I don't know how to write such a pain. How can one describe the departure of a brother? We have lost our closest, our best, our most hardworking. I lost a friend with whom I dreamed together and then realized those dreams together, half of my mind and heart. There is a fire inside me that I don't know how it will extinguish. My heart is burning. May our heads be held high."
