"116 SIGNATURES WERE GIVEN FOR İMAMOĞLU"
Günaydın said, "As of 5:00 PM on February 21, 2025, after the 5-day period has expired, 116 of our colleagues from the Republican People's Party Group have signed in favor of Mr. Ekrem İmamoğlu being a candidate for the CHP presidential nomination. The signatures of our 116 colleagues are currently in this yellow envelope. As you know, Mr. Ekrem İmamoğlu has also made an application to our Headquarters in this regard. As of now, both the signature process and the application process have been completed. Membership registrations will continue in all our organizations until February 28. After these processes are completed, the committees and lists to be prepared in accordance with the directive will be valid, and the pre-selection process for determining our presidential candidate will be conducted on Sunday, March 23, 2025. I wish it to be beneficial and auspicious for both our party and, more importantly, for our country, our democracy, and our nation," he said.
"DURSUN ÇİÇEK'S SIGNATURE HAS NOT REACHED US"
In response to a question about how many signatures former CHP Deputy Dursun Çiçek has collected, Günaydın replied, "I have not received any signatures collected by Dursun Çiçek; it would be better to ask him. He does not have any signatures that have reached us."
