IRAN'S TURKISH POETIC RESPONSE TO THE USA
In an event held in Tehran, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian addressed the negotiations with the USA. Emphasizing that they are not against negotiations but will not negotiate under any circumstances, Pezeshkian said, "They cannot talk about negotiations again after imposing sanctions and then asking us to give up our weapons."
"DO NOT CROSS THE DISHONORABLE BRIDGE..."
Responding to the USA's pressure policy with a Turkish poem, Pezeshkian stated, "There is a poem in our Turkish language. 'Do not cross the dishonorable bridge, let the flood take you. Do not lie in the shadow of the fox, let the lion eat you.'" Receiving great applause with his Turkish poem, Pezeshkian added, "That is, even if a person sleeps in the shadow of the fox, and even if the flood takes the person away, one should not stand in the shadow of the dishonorable. They think they can force us to do whatever they want with threats. This is not true. We are human beings and we will talk within the framework of mutual respect, but we will never bow to pressures."
Addressing the threats from the USA and Israel towards Iran, Pezeshkian said, "Some are afraid of Israel because it has the support of the USA. However, we are not afraid and we will not be afraid. This suits us as well."
