Faruk and Mehmet Gezen, brothers who own a seafood restaurant in Ankara, have added octopus döner to their menu. The chef brothers, who harmonize Turkish cultural dishes with seafood in their restaurant, have presented octopus döner to the delight of their customers. After soaking the octopuses in boiling water, the Gezen brothers prepare them on the döner grill with a special butter sauce, achieving successful results from their experiments. Chef Mehmet stated, "We had recently made headlines in Turkey with our fish döner. After that, we thought about what else we could do, and the idea of making octopus döner emerged. We implemented it and are serving it to our customers." Recalling that they made fish döner from Orkinos, Chef Mehmet mentioned that this dish was also quite popular and that they received positive feedback from customers. He stated that they constantly try various recipes, saying, "We are always researching, asking 'What more can we do?'. We try it, taste it ourselves first, and then let our customers taste it. We receive very positive reactions. This time, we brainstormed about 'what can we do?' and came up with the idea of 'döner from octopus' with Chef Faruk." Chef Mehmet shared that customers are often very surprised when they first hear about such dishes, saying, "When they see the fish and octopus döner at the counter, they get excited to film it and share it on social media. Naturally, they are also very excited to taste it; after tasting, they are quite surprised." Customers who tried octopus döner for the first time were very pleased with its taste.
