CHINA DEFEATS USA IN THE GOLDEN SET
The USA started the match strong, winning the first set 25-15 to take a 1-0 lead. China recovered in the second set, winning 25-23 to level the score. Continuing their good form in the third set, China won 25-20 to go ahead 2-1. In a critical fourth set, the USA staged a comeback, winning 25-17 to tie the match at 2-2. China won the golden set 15-13, securing a 3-2 victory and advancing to the semifinals.
