The Minister of Family and Social Services, Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, announced that they have started to deposit a total of 6.2 billion lira in monthly pensions for the elderly and disabled into accounts for the month of May.
Minister Göktaş stated in a written statement that they continue to develop inclusive and regular social assistance programs for disabled and elderly citizens. Göktaş expressed that the services for disabled and elderly citizens are carried out within the framework of human-centered and rights-based policies. Emphasizing that they stand by the elderly and disabled in every area, from education to health, and from the economy to social life, Minister Göktaş said, "In this regard, we have started to deposit a total of 6.2 billion lira in monthly pensions for the elderly and disabled, including 3.5 billion lira for elderly pensions and 2.7 billion lira for disabled pensions for the month of May. I wish that the payments will be beneficial for all our citizens."
