The social media influencer Merve Taşkın, who was placed under house arrest for "obscenity" due to a Valentine's Day post, has completed her 19-day sentence. Taşkın, who previously stated, "Once my sentence is over, I will say goodbye to my country and leave permanently," announced the end of her sentence on social media, saying, "I was a bit sad that I won't be able to go on vacation to Ibiza until the trial date."
Phenomenon Merve Taşkın announced on her X account that she would go out for dinner with those who are alone on February 14th for 400,000 lira, listing her features. After her post, she was reported to CİMER and was taken into custody. Merve Taşkın was released under house arrest after giving a statement regarding the charge of "obscenity." After the investigation against Taşkın was completed, a lawsuit was filed against her with a request for up to 3 years in prison for the charge of 'obscenity.'
HOUSE ARREST SENTENCE ENDED
Merve Taşkın's house arrest sentence has ended. In a post on her social media account, she stated, "My 19-day house arrest has ended. I have to sign once a week and I have a travel ban. I have a hearing at Çağlayan Courthouse on June 17, 2025, at 11:30. I hope the decision will be acquittal, wish me luck."

Adding a note to her post, Taşkın stated, "I was a bit sad that I can't go on vacation to Ibiza until the hearing date."
