In Nigde, 506.46 grams of methamphetamine in capsules were removed from the stomach and intestines of 2 suspects, one of whom was an Iranian woman, who were taken into custody. After being referred to the courthouse, the suspects were arrested.
Two Iranian suspects, determined to have smuggled drugs into the country illegally in Niğde, were caught in an operation organized by security forces. In X-ray films taken during their health check, 37 capsules of drugs were detected in their stomachs and intestines.
2 SUSPECTS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY
Under the coordination of the Niğde Chief Public Prosecutor's Office; in a joint effort carried out by the Provincial Police Department's Anti-Narcotics Branch Directorate and Intelligence Branch Directorate teams, information was obtained that drugs would be smuggled into the country illegally. Acting on the intelligence gathered, the teams took 2 Iranian suspects into custody in an operation they organized.
37 CAPSULES DETECTED ON X-RAY
The X-ray films taken during the health check of the suspects, who were taken to the hospital for procedures, revealed the method of drug smuggling. It was determined that a total of 37 capsules were found in the bodies of the suspects, where foreign objects were noticed in their stomachs and intestines.
THEY WERE SENT TO PRISON
506.46 grams of methamphetamine were obtained from the capsules removed through medical intervention and surgery. After their procedures at the police station, the 2 suspects were referred to the courthouse and were arrested by the court and sent to prison.
