A police officer who threatened a courier he argued with in traffic in Esenyurt, Istanbul, saying, "Son, I'm already upset, I could shoot you," has been suspended from duty.
In Esenyurt, a police officer M.C.Y., who argued with a driver in traffic and used the expressions "Son, look, I'm already upset, I can shoot you in the head," has been suspended from duty.

The incident occurred last night in Esenyurt. Police officers M.C.Y. and R.Ö., who are assigned to the Esenyurt District Police Department, argued with a driver in traffic and used insults and curses. Following the sharing of footage that included the threat "Son, look, I'm already upset, I can shoot you in the head" on social media, the Istanbul Police Department initiated an investigation regarding the matter.
STATEMENT FROM THE ISTANBUL POLICE DEPARTMENT
As a result of the investigation, an administrative inquiry was initiated against the police officers, and the officer named M.C.Y. was suspended from duty. The Istanbul Police Department published a statement on social media regarding the incident. The statement said, "Regarding the images shared by some media outlets and on social media that occurred in Esenyurt district; an immediate investigation has been initiated by the Istanbul Police Department concerning the police officers involved in the incident. As a result of the investigation, it has been determined that police officers M.C.Y. and R.Ö., who are assigned to the Esenyurt District Police Department, argued with a driver and behaved in a manner unbefitting of the police profession. An administrative inquiry has been initiated against both police officers regarding the incident, and the officer named M.C.Y. has been suspended from duty."
