The president of Kırıkkale FK, a team in the 3rd League, Adnan Duman, announced his resignation by saying, "As of today, I am resigning. May the 135 million lira be blessed."
The president of Kırıkkale Football Club, one of the teams in TFF 3rd League, Adnan Duman, announced his resignation during a press conference he held.
'WE DID NOT RECEIVE SUPPORT'
Duman stated, "Currently, without any conditions or exceptions, outside of politics, outside of conflicts and grudges, as Kırıkkale FK, we unfortunately did not receive the most natural support we expected from a public institution on our way to success at the beginning of the season. While this process was ongoing, we were somehow drawn into politics."
Emphasizing that the team should not be associated with any political party, Duman said, "To attribute the issue of my support or that of my management team, administrative staff, or our player brothers to either Party A or Party B to the Kırıkkale FK family is, believe me, the greatest betrayal to this team."
Addressing fundamental deficiencies such as infrastructure, stadium, and club building, Duman stated, "As the club president, I say this as someone who is constantly worn down by being associated with politics and being labeled as 'doing politics'; we are talking about a passion that has no infrastructure, no stadium, and a club building that does not even have a place to shelter."
'135 MILLION LIRA IS HALAL'
Emphasizing that the presidency of the club is a temporary position, Duman said, "Unfortunately, as long as the public institutions related to the stadium, infrastructure, and this matter do not provide support, this work in cities like ours cannot be achieved solely through the spending and efforts of a club president and management army. We are temporary."
Stating that they carried out their duties on a voluntary basis, Duman said, "My management and I have incredibly put effort into this, we have brought it to this point. But unfortunately, today we feel that our strength has run out."
Finally, Duman stated, "I am resigning from my position to ensure better management and to keep it away from politics, on this path that I started with great excitement," and concluded his statement: "Every single penny we have spent throughout the year will be donated to the club, and as of today, I am resigning without anyone having any claim on a single penny from me. There is no claim on me, 135 million lira is halal."
