The proposal made by CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, calling for "the trials of İmamoğlu to be broadcast on TRT," which was also supported by Erdoğan and Bahçeli, was submitted to the Parliament by the CHP. The proposal was rejected with the votes of the AK Party and MHP members.

There has been a noteworthy development regarding the CHP's call for the live broadcast of the trial of public officials who were arrested in the investigations against Ekrem İmamoğlu and the İBB.

The CHP submitted a proposal to bring the bill regarding the call, which was also supported by President Erdoğan and MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, to the agenda of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM). The proposal was rejected with the votes of the AK Party and MHP. CHP Group Deputy Chairman Murat Emir stated in the Assembly, "Come on, don't be afraid, don't run away, and say yes to this proposal. You said the indictment is substantial, so let's broadcast the trial on TRT, let everyone see."

ERDOĞAN: IT IS A VERY NICE APPRAISAL

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan commented on MHP leader Bahçeli's support for the call to broadcast the trial live on TRT, saying, "If Mr. Bahçeli used such a thing, it is a very nice appraisal, hopefully, it will be beneficial."

BAHÇELİ: IT SHOULD BE BROADCASTED LIVE ON ALL TELEVISION CHANNELS

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli had previously pointed out the trials in Istanbul during his group speeches, stating, "The trial should be broadcast live on all television channels, especially TRT."
