According to the data from the Turkish Statistical Institute for the year 2024, the province with the highest number of villages in Turkey is Sivas, with 1,234 villages. Sivas is followed by Kastamonu with 1,054 villages and Çorum with 756 villages.
According to the data compiled from the Address-Based Population Registration System (ADNKS) results of the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) for the year 2024, the province with the highest number of villages in Turkey has been revealed.
SİVAS TAKES THE LEAD
With 18,238 villages, the city with the highest number of villages in Turkey has been announced as Sivas, with 1,234 villages.
KASTAMONU AND ÇORUM COMPLETE THE TOP 3
Kastamonu ranks second with 1,054 villages, while Çorum takes the third place with its 756 villages.
THE TOP 10 ARE COMPLETED BY THESE PROVINCES
Following these three provinces are Tokat with 612 villages, Çanakkale with 575 villages, Ağrı with 564 villages, Yozgat with 555 villages, Giresun with 549 villages, Elazığ with 547 villages, and Kütahya with 545 villages.
