ABC reporter Will Murray, who was reporting from a flood zone in Australia's Queensland state, rescued the driver of a jeep that drove past him and plunged into deep water, together with a citizen.

According to the BBC report, Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) reporter Will Murray saved the driver of a vehicle that entered the water before his eyes while he was covering a flood in the Morayfield area of Queensland.

Murray saw a jeep passing by plunge into deep floodwater and begin to sink shortly afterward. The reporter entered the water together with a citizen at the scene and reached the driver.

Footage captured on camera shows the moments when Murray and the other rescuer tried to get the driver out beside the rapidly sinking vehicle.

Speaking to the BBC, Murray said that the moment they realized the vehicle was sinking very quickly, "there was no time to think." Stating that the driver could drown, the reporter said, "It's better to jump in and give it a try."
