Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, who attended the Universal Postal Union (UPU) Regional Strategy Forum held in Ankara, reacted when asked by a journalist about allegations of personal data belonging to 85 million citizens being stolen. "THERE HAS BEEN NO SUCH THEFT""Currently, there is no agenda in Turkey regarding the theft of data," said Minister Uraloğlu. "Because there has been no such theft. There was only information discussed in the past, that's all. Turkey does not have an agenda or an incident regarding the theft of personal data. It was discussed and closed within that period. It is not on Turkey's agenda right now. I am saying this very clearly. No one should stir up trouble. No one should make news as if there are current incidents of stolen personal data and people's security in Turkey based on a statement that was made." "WE HAVE NOT MADE SUCH A STATEMENT"In continuation of his words, Minister Uraloğlu stated that their previous statements were taken out of context. "There is currently no such agenda. News that has been made by taking statements out of context and adding comments in front of or behind them has no value to us. We have not made such a statement. It is not correct to bring up a topic that was discussed and debated in the past years as if it is a current issue. There is no need to say anything more about this."
