Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that the reports regarding the fire disaster in Bolu Kartalkaya, which claimed the lives of 78 people, have been completed and submitted to the Bolu Governorship. Minister Yerlikaya stated, "Those who were negligent in the fire, who have burned the hearts of our nation, will face the punishments they deserve."
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that the two civil inspectors assigned by the Ministry of Interior regarding the investigation into the fire that resulted in the death of 78 people at the Grand Kartal Hotel in Bolu Kartalkaya have completed their report.
"THOSE WHO BURNED THE HEARTS OF OUR PEOPLE WILL FACE THE PUNISHMENTS THEY DESERVE" In a statement made on his social media account, Minister Yerlikaya responded to the opposition's criticisms that "the responsible parties have not been held accountable for fifteen days," saying, "Those who were negligent in the fire, those who burned the hearts of our people will face the punishments they deserve."
In his statement, Minister Yerlikaya expressed the following: "Unfortunately, 78 of our citizens lost their lives in the fire that occurred in Kartalkaya on Tuesday, January 21. Our hearts are broken as a nation. Immediately after the fire, we assigned two Civil Inspectors related to our area of responsibility as the Ministry of Interior, and they began their examination work immediately. Our inspectors completed their report regarding Bolu Municipality on January 28, 2025 (the 7th day), and their report regarding the Provincial Special Administration on January 31, 2025 (the 10th day) and submitted it to the Bolu Governorship. Our Bolu Governorship also sent the inspectors' reports to the Bolu Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. As our esteemed President has stated from the very first day, those who were negligent in the fire, those who burned the hearts of our people will face the punishments they deserve. On this occasion, I once again pray for God's mercy on the citizens who lost their lives in the fire; I wish my condolences to their relatives."
