In Batman, 67-year-old Ziya Baltaş lost his balance and fell into an elevator shaft while trying to rescue two people, including a child, who were trapped in an elevator in a 14-story apartment building. Health teams arriving at the scene determined that Baltaş had lost his life. It was learned that Baltaş was married and a father of three children; his body was taken to the morgue, while the two trapped individuals were rescued by the teams. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
Ziya Baltaş (67), who was trying to rescue 2 people, including a child, trapped in an elevator in a 14-story apartment building in Batman, lost his life after falling into the elevator shaft.
The incident occurred in the morning hours at Block C of Lotus Park Site in Belde Neighborhood. Baltaş noticed individuals trapped in the elevator on the 6th floor of the building and took action to help.
LOST BALANCE AND FELL INTO THE SHAFT
According to claims, Baltaş lost his balance during the rescue attempt and fell into the elevator shaft. Upon notification, health, police, and fire department teams were dispatched to the scene.
Checks by health teams confirmed that Baltaş had lost his life.
TRAPPED INDIVIDUALS RESCUED
The body of Ziya Baltaş, who was known to be married and a father of 3, was taken to the morgue of Batman Training and Research Hospital for autopsy after the scene investigation.
The 2 people trapped in the elevator were rescued from their location by the efforts of fire department teams. An investigation has been launched into the incident.
