On July 7, in the Kurtuluş neighborhood, Muharrem Gülen (61) murdered his older brother Mehmet Gülen (66), sister-in-law Emine Gülen (58), and nephew Resul Gülen (39) by opening fire with a pistol. After his procedures at the police station, he was referred to the courthouse this morning.

The suspect, arrested on charges of "intentional murder" by the Criminal Court of Peace, was sent to Ünye Prison accompanied by security measures and a bulletproof vest.
LAND DISPUTE CLAIMS THREE LIVES
In his initial statement, the suspect said there was a dispute with his brother and nephew over a land issue, that the argument escalated leading to the incident, and that he regretted it. It was claimed that the land dispute between the two brothers had been ongoing for a while, and that the hostility increased after the death of their mother about 45 days ago.
