Businessman Burak Özberk filed for divorce, demanding 100 million lira in compensation, claiming that his wife Burçak Özberk cheated on him with two basketball players. Burak Özberk alleged that he learned of his wife's betrayal through a diary he wrote, claiming that his wife cheated on him with basketball player Caner Erdeniz, who is the husband of actress Müge Boz, and basketball player Gökhan Şirin.
The divorce case that has reached the Beykoz Family Court has brought to light a striking allegation of infidelity that concerns the business world and the sports community.
Burak Özberk, a well-known businessman in the chemical industry and adhesive market, married Burçak Özberk in 2012, and the couple has a 12-year-old son. Allegedly, the relationship of the couple, who were happy in the early years of their marriage, began to deteriorate as Burçak Özberk distanced herself from her husband recently. It is claimed that Burak Özberk read his wife's diary, in which she documented her increasing alcohol consumption and frequent trips abroad.
NAMES OF TWO BASKETBALL PLAYERS MENTIONED According to a report by Özge Eğrikar from Hürriyet, it was alleged that in the diary Özberk found and read on March 18, his wife wrote that she had cheated on him with some names. It is claimed that Burçak Özberk wrote in her diary that she cheated on her husband with basketball player Caner Erdeniz, who is married to actress Müge Boz, and basketball player Gökhan Şirin, stating that she had separate relationships with both players and had emotional and physical closeness with Erdeniz and Şirin.
Caner Erdeniz 100 MILLION LIRA BETRAYAL REVEALED IN THE DIARY In the petition, Burak Özberk, who expressed that he experienced a great devastation after these notes, stated that he learned he was cheated on and filed for divorce. Özberk summarized the following allegations in his lawsuit petition:
"I learned of my wife's betrayal, whom I have loved and made the center of my life by making every effort both materially and spiritually for years. My life has been irrevocably shaken when I read the diaries. As seen in the diary, my wife, who has been living a life of infidelity for years, has clearly stated that she cheated on me during vacations that I paid for and at home, committing adultery. My wife has used me as a sponsor.
Gökhan Şirin MANIFESTO DEFENSE When I asked my wife about her infidelity, she replied, 'What you wrote is very sad, neither of them touched me. That diary is my manifesto diary. It contains imaginary writings of feelings and happiness that I want to experience again in my life, it has no reality...' As written in the diary, my wife has committed adultery. She has explained and reiterated this in her own handwriting. I request that our divorce be decided due to the faults of my wife, who has violated the obligation of fidelity. I want custody of our child to be granted to me and for Burçak Özberk to be ordered to pay a total of 100 million lira in compensation, consisting of 50 million lira in material damages and 50 million lira in moral damages."
