In the city of Sorocaba, located in the state of São Paulo, Brazil, a 48-year-old man has had legal proceedings initiated against him to stand trial on charges of harassing a 14-year-old girl.

It was learned that Eduardo Silva Prado's alleged actions took place inside a self-service market within a residential complex. It was reported that the moments subject to the sexual harassment allegation were captured by security cameras.
"I TOUCHED HER BY ACCIDENT" DEFENSE
While giving his statement at the Police Station for Combating Violence Against Women, Prado denied the charges, claiming he had "accidentally made contact" with the victim and defended himself by stating he had no malicious intent.
TO BE TRIED WHILE FREE
Although the suspect did not accept the charges, an indictment was prepared against him for the crime of "sexual harassment." It was reported that Prado will be tried without being detained throughout the judicial process.
HE ALSO LOST HIS JOB
Following the incident becoming public, Prado was fired by the Companhia Brasileira de Alumínio company where he worked. It was also noted that the suspect was wearing his company uniform during the incident.
