In Nevşehir, it is claimed that a non-commissioned officer, who was loading and unloading his weapon during training, accidentally shot his comrade, who could not be saved despite all the interventions at the hospital and became a martyr.
According to reports, Communication Non-Commissioned Officer Senior Sergeant Yasin Mahid Toparlak, who serves in the Nevşehir Provincial Gendarmerie Command, accidentally discharged his weapon while conducting dry firing training. The bullet grazed Toparlak's hand and then struck his fellow soldier, Route Senior Non-Commissioned Officer Chief Sergeant Hüseyin Uzun, in the abdomen.
DESPITE ALL INTERVENTIONS, HE COULD NOT BE SAVED
In the incident, both non-commissioned officers were injured, and health teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification. After the initial intervention at the scene, the injured non-commissioned officers were taken to the hospital by ambulance, while Route Senior Non-Commissioned Officer Chief Sergeant Hüseyin Uzun, who was shot in the abdomen, could not be saved despite all interventions at the hospital and was martyred. The treatment of Non-Commissioned Officer Toparlak is ongoing. The investigation launched regarding the incident is still ongoing.

Meanwhile, a Turkish flag was hung at the house of the martyred Route Senior Non-Commissioned Officer Chief Sergeant Hüseyin Uzun, located in Nevşehir.
