The management of Serhat Ardahanspor, which is experiencing a deep financial crisis, decided to offer the club presidency to the famous Ardahan-born artist Hülya Avşar in order to save the club from the impasse and increase its brand value.
Serhat Ardahanspor, a Regional Amateur League representative, is taking a radical step to overcome the deep financial bottleneck and perception of neglect it is in. Özkan Karakaya, Club Manager of the Burgundy-Blue team, announced that they are preparing to offer the club presidency to Hülya Avşar, a famous name in Yeşilçam and Turkish pop music and an artist from Ardahan.

Stating that they made a joint decision as the board of directors, Club Manager Özkan Karakaya emphasized that a strong woman's hand is needed for the club's future. Drawing attention to the artist's brand value and passion for sports, Karakaya said: "We believe that Serhat Ardahanspor now needs a strong woman's touch. We will make an official invitation to our fellow townsman Hülya Avşar, who has been Turkey's pride for years with her achievements in the world of cinema and music, to become club president. This decision taken by our board of directors is of vital importance for the future and brand value of our team, which is struggling with a financial crisis."
"WE WILL NOT ALLOW THE TEAM TO DISAPPEAR"
Complaining that businesspeople from Ardahan and the city's leading figures have not given the club sufficient support, Karakaya said, "Unfortunately, to date we have not received the support we expected from our businesspeople from Ardahan. However, Serhat Ardahanspor is the most important brand of this city. We will not stand idly by and watch our team disappear."
THEY WILL CONVEY THE OFFER FACE TO FACE
Karakaya called on Hülya Avşar to take ownership of her hometown club and noted that the offer would be conveyed face to face in the coming days. The Burgundy-Blue fans, meanwhile, have begun eagerly awaiting the response from Avşar Kızı.
