While AYT excitement was happening in Osmaniye, a street vendor selling simit in front of the exam center frequently warned candidates about the time remaining until the doors closed. Despite this, a candidate who arrived at the school just seconds before the exam was unable to enter after the doors closed, even as they ran amid parents' chants of "Go, go."
The second session of the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS), the Field Proficiency Test (AYT), has started in Osmaniye. In 785 halls across 42 buildings throughout the city, 13,413 candidates sweated for their university dreams.
SIMIT SELLER FREQUENTLY REMINDED OF THE REMAINING TIME
While there was congestion in front of exam centers from the early morning hours, parents waited for their children around the schools. A street vendor selling simit in front of Osmaniye Anatolian High School, rather than selling simit, frequently warned candidates and parents about the time remaining before the doors closed, by tracking the exam time.
STUDENT WAS NOT ADMITTED TO THE EXAM BY SECONDS
A candidate who reached the school seconds before the doors closed at Osmaniye Anatolian High School started running to make it to the exam in the last moment. Seeing the candidate running, parents supported with applause and chants of "Let them in, let them in." However, despite all efforts, the doors closed as the exam time expired, and the student was not admitted.
With the start of AYT, parents continued their anxious wait in school gardens and surroundings, while the exam marathon continued smoothly across the city.
