In Bursa, during a dispute over a debt, a bullet fired from the gun of street bead seller Kazım İnanç (62) hit the toe of his colleague Kazım Demiraş (59), who had bought shoes two sizes larger. Demiraş avoided injury by stepping on the heel of the oversized shoes he was wearing. The parties reached an agreement with the intervention of a lawyer. In the incident, which was reported to the prosecutor's office as an attempt to cause simple injury, İnanç gifted Demiraş a similar shoe of the same size that was hit by the bullet on the day of the incident. The parties, who left the law office arm in arm and walked together on the road, parted ways after mutually forgiving each other. The incident occurred on August 6 at the neighborhood market in the Tahtakale district of central Osmangazi. Street bead sellers Kazım İnanç and Kazım Demiraş, who had a feud over a space issue, argued when they encountered each other at the market. As the argument escalated into a fight, Kazım İnanç pulled out his unlicensed gun and fired a shot towards Kazım Demiraş's foot. The bullet hit the toe of Demiraş's shoe. When İnanç pulled the trigger a second time, his gun jammed, and he fled. Upon notification, police and medical teams were dispatched to the area. Under the control of the medical team, it was determined that Kazım Demiraş did not sustain any injuries because he was wearing shoes two sizes larger and stepped on the heel. HE WAS DETAINED FOR 3 DAYSKazım İnanç, who was handed over to the Security Branch Directorate's Security Teams of the Provincial Police Department, was taken into custody. After his procedures at the police station, İnanç was arrested by the court he was brought to for the charge of 'attempting to cause simple injury.' After being detained for 3 days, he was released when Kazım Demiraş withdrew his complaint. Kazım İnanç's lawyer, Özgür Coşkun, brought the parties together to resolve the dispute. Expressing regret over the incident, Kazım İnanç said, "I lost control of my anger for a moment. I made a huge mistake towards my friend. I apologize, again and again. I feel guilty right now." "WEARING A LARGE SIZE SHOE SAVED MY LIFE"Kazım Demiraş stated that the incident is now closed, saying, "At that moment, when a person is at the end of the barrel, they think about some things too late. God has given us life, and we are alive. For me, the incident has happened and is over. My foot was uncomfortable, I wore a larger size shoe, and that saved my life," he said. Kazım İnanç's lawyer, Özgür Coşkun, stated that the legal process is ongoing, saying, "The incident started with the complaint of our uncle Kazım. After the incident began, the other uncle Kazım faced a legal process for attempted injury. We said, 'Since both of your names are Kazım, let’s reconcile you.' Our legal process is ongoing. We reconciled the two uncles. Although we are the defendant's lawyer, it is very nice to mediate." Coşkun's partner, lawyer Abdullah Çelik, also said, "We are happy to bring both of our uncles together." At the end of the meeting, İnanç gifted Demirtaş a similar shoe of the same size that was hit by the bullet on the day of the incident, while the other side gave him a prayer bead. The parties, who left the law office arm in arm and walked together on the road, parted ways after forgiving each other.
