The discovery of the lifeless body of 8-year-old Narin Güran, who went missing 19 days ago in Diyarbakır, devastated millions who were hoping for a different outcome. Diyarbakır Governor Zorluoğlu stated that "Narin was thrown into the stream in a sack after being killed, and it was covered with tree branches and stones to avoid suspicion," while the spot where the girl's lifeless body was found in Eğertutmaz Stream was also captured on camera.

The lifeless body of Narin Güran (8), who went missing in Bağlar district of Diyarbakır on August 21, was found in Eğertutmaz Stream, about 2 kilometers away from the village, on the 19th day of the search operation. The heartbreaking details given by Diyarbakır Governor Zorluoğlu after the news of Narin's death shook Turkey, and the spot in Eğertutmaz Stream where the lifeless body of the 8-year-old girl was found, were also captured on camera.

DISAPPEARED IN DIYARBAKIR

The incident occurred in the rural Tavşantepe neighborhood of Bağlar district in the afternoon of August 21. Narin Güran, who went to the Quran course, did not return home after the class, so her family searched for her on their own. When the search with the villagers did not yield any results, Narin's father Arif Güran went to the gendarmerie station on the same day around 8:00 pm and reported that his daughter was missing.

Following this, Bağlar Gendarmerie Command, Bağlar Security Commando Battalion, Gendarmerie Special Operations teams, Gendarmerie Crime Investigation Teams (JASAT), Intelligence Branch Directorate, Dog Tracking Team, and Underwater Search and Rescue Team from health, AFAD, Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality, and district municipalities were dispatched to the region for search and rescue operations. Approximately 150 vehicles that were determined to have passed through the area during the hours when Narin went missing were interrogated. Searches were conducted in houses in the neighborhood and vehicles entering the village. A total of 12,565 vehicles were searched, statements were taken from 130 individuals, 32,952 people were checked, searches were conducted in an area of more than 11,000 acres with 7 tracking dogs.

LIFELESS BODY FOUND

On the 19th day of the search operation conducted by the teams, Narin's lifeless body was found in Eğertutmaz Stream. While the entrances and exits to the neighborhood were banned, Narin's lifeless body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute for autopsy.
