The Ministry of Treasury and Finance has frozen the assets in Turkey of 3 individuals and 3 organizations linked to FETÖ/PDY, and 3 individuals linked to DHKP/C. It was stated that the decision, published in the Official Gazette and entered into force, is based on reasonable grounds regarding the financing of terrorism. Additionally, the asset freeze decision regarding Syrian national Omar Alwaki has been lifted.
The Ministry of Treasury and Finance decided to freeze the assets in Turkey of certain real and legal persons linked to the FETÖ/PDY and DHKP/C terrorist organizations. The ministry's decision was published in the Official Gazette and entered into force.
According to the decision taken under the Law on the Prevention of Financing of Terrorism, the assets in Turkey of 3 real persons and 3 legal persons linked to FETÖ/PDY, and 3 real persons linked to DHKP/C, who are considered to have reasonable grounds for committing the crime of "financing of terrorism," have been frozen.
FETÖ-LINKED NAMES AND ORGANIZATIONS
The real persons linked to FETÖ/PDY whose assets were frozen were announced as Hilal Kalyoncu, Celil Kalyoncu, and Doğan Ertuğrul. Among the legal persons were Kalyon Inc., International Journalists Association eV., and Free Journalists Association.
SAME DECISION FOR 3 PEOPLE LINKED TO DHKP/C
Within the scope of the decision, the assets in Turkey of Ali Ercan Gökoğlu, Zeliha Koyupınar, and Erdal Gökoğlu, linked to DHKP/C, were also frozen.
DECISION FOR ONE PERSON LIFTED
On the other hand, the Ministry of Treasury and Finance's "Decision to Lift the Asset Freeze Decision" was also published in the Official Gazette.
Due to the disappearance of the grounds under Law No. 6415 on the Prevention of Financing of Terrorism, the asset freeze decision regarding Syrian national Omar Alwaki was lifted.
