The severe storm that suddenly intensified in Istanbul during the evening hours negatively affected daily life in many districts. While fallen trees and scattered debris caused damage to workplaces and vehicles, moments when strong winds resembling a small tornado swept away everything in their path at the İSTOÇ Trade Center in Bağcılar were captured on a mobile phone camera.
A violent storm that suddenly broke out in the evening hours across Istanbul brought life to a standstill in many parts of the city.
TREES TOPPLED, WORKPLACES DAMAGED
The adverse weather conditions, which intensified particularly in the western and northern parts of the city, caused serious disruptions in the lines of Bağcılar, Bakırköy, Ataköy, Sultangazi, and Küçükçekmece. Damage occurred in some workplaces and streets due to trees toppled by the storm and scattered debris.
