During work at a pier in the Kuşadası district of Aydın, three workers fell into the sea due to a storm. One of the workers lost his life, while the other two were found by the teams.
While working on the pier in Aydın's Kuşadası district, one of the three workers who fell into the sea due to the storm and the intensity of the waves lost his life, while two others were injured, one seriously.
The incident occurred in the evening at the pier in front of Le Blue Hotel in the Ladies' Beach area. According to the information obtained, the pier work, which was carried out despite adverse weather conditions, turned into a major disaster.
3 WORKERS FELL INTO THE SEA
Three workers who fell into the sea from the pier due to the waves created during the storm were stranded in the water for a long time. Upon receiving the notification, health, fire, police, and coast guard teams were dispatched to the area. The teams that arrived at the scene began efforts to rescue Abdullah K., Muharrem D., and İsmail Dağ, who had fallen into the sea.
ONE WORKER LOST HIS LIFE
The teams rescued Abdullah K. (26) and Muharrem D. (22) from the sea and handed them over to the health teams. The lifeless body of İsmail Dağ (30), who fell into the sea, was found 100 meters away from the scene. While the two injured workers were taken to the hospital by ambulance, it was learned that Abdullah K. was in critical condition. The lifeless body of İsmail Dağ, who lost his life, was taken to the hospital morgue.
On the other hand, it was claimed that the workers reported that there was a storm before the work and that they did not want to work, but they were asked to continue the work. An investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.
