The Syrian army declared the area occupied by YPG/SDG west of the Euphrates River as a military zone and requested all armed elements to withdraw to the east of the Euphrates.
In a written statement made to the local press by the Syrian army, it was stated that terrorist organizations YPG/SDG and PKK, as well as remnants of the old regime, continue to build up in the regions they occupy west of the Euphrates River. It was expressed that the occupied areas are being used for attacks on Aleppo with kamikaze drones (UAV).
"TERROR ELEMENTS SHOULD WITHDRAW TO THE EAST OF THE EUPHRATES"
It was reported that the regions occupied by the terrorist organization are declared military zones due to both the buildup in these areas and their use for UAV attacks on Aleppo. In this context, it was requested that the terrorist elements also withdraw to the east of the Euphrates River.
CALL TO CIVILIANS
In a map-sharing that includes regions such as Meskene and Deir Hafir, a call was made to the civilian population to stay away from points belonging to terrorist organizations. The statement included, "The Syrian army will take all necessary measures to prevent armed groups gathered in this area from using it as a base for criminal activities."
YPD OPERATION IN ALEPPO
Following the increasing attacks, the Syrian army conducted an operation on January 7 in the neighborhoods occupied by the terrorist organization YPG/SDG in Aleppo.
After the operation, the neighborhoods of Ashrafiyeh, Sheikh Maqsoud, and Beni Zayd in Aleppo were liberated from the occupation of the terrorist organization.
